2023, Asian Journal of SurgeryCitation Excerpt :In this study, there were no significant differences between the two groups in the following primary outcomes: postoperative drainage duration, postoperative complication rate, and mortality within 30 days. The ideal treatment goal for pleural space infection should be lung re-expansion by complete evacuation of any pleural fluid or pus.16 The L group was thought to have inadequate intraoperative procedures compared to the G group, but our results showed that the reoperation rate tended to be higher in the G group.
