Similarly, in another study, one-third of diabetic patients with at least 1 additional cardiovascular risk factor had silent ischemia.9 Even higher rates of abnormal stress tests (40–60%) and of high-risk findings (approximately 20%) have been reported in large retrospective series in asymptomatic diabetic patients.
