Efficacy and safety of one-month DAPT followed by 23-month ticagrelor monotherapy in patients undergoing proximal LAD stenting: Insights from the GLOBAL LEADERS trial
2020, International Journal of CardiologyCitation Excerpt :Traditionally, several lesion subsets, such as lesions in the left main coronary artery, the proximal LAD, and multivessel disease have historically been referred for CABG rather than PCI. The proximal LAD in particular is regarded as a high-risk segment for adverse outcomes [2,3] in light of the large territory of left ventricular myocardium it subtends. Historically, PCI of the proximal LAD using bare metal stents and first-generation DES had a significantly higher risk of repeat revascularization compared with CABG, while the risk of mortality and MI was similar [27].
