  • Studies reporting sensor-based data for patients having undergone total or partial knee replacement at any time point post-operatively.

  • Studies including a minimum of n=5 knee arthroplasty patients.

  • Studies published in 2008 or later.

  • Conference abstracts.

  • Systematic reviews.

  • Studies that do not differentiate/stratify data results between knee arthroplasty patients and those having undergone other treatments.

  • Studies focusing on the use of accelerometers/IMUs for use in surgical navigation.

  • Studies using cadaveric, robotic or animal models.

  • Studies using sensors as part of an active feedback-assistive technology.

  • Published study protocols.

  • Validation studies with the primary aim of evaluating technology and limited clinical inquiry.

  • IMUs, inertial measurement units.
