Study inclusion and exclusion criteria

Inclusion criteriaExclusion criteria
Patients with COPD meeting two or more of the following:

  • FEV1 <30%

  • 2+ exacerbations requiring prednisolone and antibiotics in the previous year

  • Long-term oxygen therapy

  • Cor pulmonale

  • MRC dyspnoea scale 4+

  • Admission for COPD in previous year

Patients with any of the following:

  • Serious mental health problem

  • Serious learning difficulty

  • Unable to give informed consent
