  • It can be seen that failed joints were more likely to have cups placed at lower angles of inclination and lower anteversion, though the positions in which they were placed would generally be regarded as acceptable. A full discussion of the implications of this finding is beyond the scope of this paper. It was a result, however, which was in direct contrast to our previous findings with the ASR device.15
