    We would like to thank Franco Vimercati and Francesco Macri for pointing out an imprecision in our paper with regard to the Law Decree approved by the Ministry of Health in 2004 and revoked by the Constitutional Court in 2006.     Dear Editor, the above-mentioned paper, published on June 3d, 2016 by group.bmj.com, reports the results of a survey performed on 154 professional medical societies (PMS) belonging to FISM, the Italian Federation of Medical Societies.
