Validation and extension of the Motivation and Pleasure Scale-Self Report (MAP-SR) across the schizophrenia spectrum in the Chinese context
2020, Asian Journal of PsychiatryCitation Excerpt :Volunteers who scored between -1 and 1 SD were classified as individuals without SocAnh (4 < =CSAS< = 18). They also completed the Chinese version of the TEPS, the ACIPS (Chan et al., 2016), the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI; Beck et al., 1961; Zheng et al., 1988) and the Schizotypal Personality Questionnaire (SPQ) (Raine, 1991; Chen et al., 1997) for further examination of the convergent and discriminant validity of the MAP-SR. The original English version of the MAP-SR was translated into Chinese independently by a bilingual psychiatrist and a professional (non-medical) translator.
Avoidance of all feedback? Attention allocation during and after public speech in social anxiety
2020, Journal of Behavior Therapy and Experimental PsychiatryCitation Excerpt :Participants came from two sources: from a paper-and-pencil questionnaire survey among 400 undergraduates in a university in Beijing, China, and through online advertisements posted on local area network of nearby universities (31 respondents). In both the campus survey and online recruitment, the Social Interaction Anxiety Scales (SIAS, Mattick & Clarke, 1998; Chinese version was validated by; Ye, Qian, Liu, & Chen, 2008) and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI, Beck, Ward, Mendelson, Mock, & Erbaugh, 1961; Chinese version was validated by; Zheng, Wei, Goa, Zhang, & Wong, 1988) were used to screen participants. Then, in order to have a group of HSA and a group of LSA, respondents who scored above one standard deviation (SD, 60.88) or below one SD (37.32) within the survey sample on SIAS were considered potential participants (101 in total) and received an invitation of the study.
Differential effects of state and trait social anhedonia on suicidal ideation at 3-months follow up
2020, Journal of Affective DisordersLow-pleasure beliefs in patients with schizophrenia and individuals with social anhedonia
2018, Schizophrenia ResearchCitation Excerpt :The Chinese versions of the CRSAS and the CPAS have been shown to possess good internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha = 0.85 for the CRSAS, and 0.86 for the CPAS) in a non-clinical Chinese sample (Chan et al., 2012b). The BDI was developed to measure the severity of depression (Beck, 1961), and was translated into Chinese and back translated into English by Chinese psychiatrists (Zheng et al., 1988). The BDI had 21 items, rating from 0 to 3, with higher scores indicating more severe symptoms.
